Somewhere I’d like to live has waterfalls that repel gravity like a reverse mixtape of rain sound, but somehow it still sounded like ‘tap tap taptaptaptaptaptptptptttt’ on your roof except it won’t rain here, it only perceives the calm after, like the mental picture of earth in baggy shirts, in full braid and rose-coloured sunglasses. It has all the complicated name of the chemicals in the air, minus the pollutions and it definitely won’t die in another 12 years.
It has people on the tentacles of jellyfishes flying like parachutes on air singing to the intro of beauty and the beast because ‘bonjour, pardon, good day, mais oui, there is more to this provincial life’ than busy cities. It has 3 stops to Heaven and Heaven is really just houses on trees overlooking the whole world as its view, it’s like living inside a snow globe without someone shaking its content. It’s just you watching the people you love through the looking glass.
It has people residing in hot air balloons and live in the hearts they wear on their sleeves, meaning that, saying ‘i love you’ has actual meanings and not just a saying to end a conversation. It means, “what did i do to deserve somebody great like you?”, it means, “here’s some food, you seemed a little quiet.” It means “I want to give everything but I expect nothing back”.
Somewhere I’d like to live is a paradox, it’s neither here nor there, because ‘here’ is the reality and ‘there’ means we’re all dead. The clock will forever be between the day and night which means it’s always 3 am and 3 pm every time you look at time. It has soft ground made of clouds and purple seas across the pools of galaxies, that’s why one of it is called the milky way, ‘I told you scientists are mad, they came close second to poets and artists’.
Somewhere I’d like to live has a background music of ‘What a wonderful world’ sung by an angel called Louise Armstrong, and a made up storyline that came straight out from a book written by Enid Blyton. Somewhere I’d like to live is a fairytales come to live because sometimes I think I don’t write enough happy endings, but my writings always do because they all ended with my name.
